First off, I have to rant about my local CBS Fox Broadcaster cause this just really pisses me off. So, Sunday morning, some part of the DTV transmitter died or broke or whatever and so they had to order a new part and they said itapos;d be fixed by Tuesday. So, Tuesday comes and itapos;s still not fixed. Ok, so they probably ran into some problems and itapos;s taking them longer to fix, no big deal. But each day, I keep checking only to find a gray screen. Keep checking their website for info on it... Nothing, but they have started posting the news again. Finally, tonight, I start poking around their website some more, desperate for even a little bit of information.... And I find some. An update on it all. IN THE COMMENTS ON THE GENERAL DTV TRANSITION PAGE TALKING ABOUT THEIR LONG-TERM PLANS. WTF? Apparently, the transmitter was fixed it Monday. And the reason that it wouldnapos;t come in for us... You have to RESCAN THE CHANNELS I guess they figured that weapos;d somehow come to realize that on our own. So not only do they wait 4 days after itapos;s fixed to tell us itapos;s fixed and that we need to rescan for channels, they hide that info down in the comments on the general DTV page and expect everyone to find it instead of putting out a big announcement at the top of the homepage like they did when it went down. *gives them the evil eye* Iapos;ve missed 4 days worth of programs because of their laziness and idiocy I am livid right now. On the upside, for some unknown reason, weapos;ve started getting 3 new channels. 1 is a 24/7 weather channel and we already have one of those, 1 is a totally Spanish channel which does us no good because we speak/understand very little Spanish, and the other is ABC. So I can starting watching Pushing Daisies... If I can remember.

We got a pumpkin. A huge pumpkin. We werenapos;t going to get one, but they had them marked down to $3.88 and this one was big enough to be worth that much. Iapos;m not sure why, but the pumpkin makes me very happy. Iapos;m going to carve it on Halloween, maybe take a picture of it and then we are going to destroy it and make a pumpkin cheesecake. ^_^

Also, Wal-Mart has finally begun catering to my cartoon penguin obsession. I got a wood penguin ornament, penguin goody bags, a small penguin stuffed animal with a fuzzy red hat and scarf that says "Have a Cool Yule" on itapos;s tummy and, best of all... The most adorable baby penguin Christmas cards. *squee* The aslo had a 20apos; inflatable penguin lawn ornament, but we couldnapos;t get it because the cats would have it shredded before it even got blown up. :( Theyapos;re just ebil like that.

And I think Iapos;ve gotten my first cold of the season. Iapos;ve got a small cough accompanied with the funny feeling lungs and tickly throat, the sniffles, a slight fever, occasional nausea, and the desire to sleep all the time. Think mum is getting it too, but so far all sheapos;s had is a slight cough, nausea to a small degree, and the apos;I donapos;t feel goodapos; feeling. She had a way better immune system than me, so hopefully herapos;s will get stopped before it has a chance to really start. I hate when we get sick at the same time, neither of us feels like cooking or doing anything, but I somehow always end up doing whatever needs to be done... Even if I am sicker. >_>
